Spotlight on Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub + Lip Balm

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub + Lip Balm (£15) are a dual-sided pot with a sugar-smoothing scrub on one side which removes any flaky bits on your lips and a sheer tinted balm on the other to moisturise.

It comes in six shades. I have extremely dry lips and find this product a welcome addition to my make-up collection.

Spotlight on Dove Quench Absolute Range for manageable and nourished curls

If you have curly or wavy hair, this range is a godsend. From the first wash using Dove Quench Absolute Ultra Nourishing Shampoo (£5.99) and the matching Dove Quench Absolute Ultra Nourishing Conditioner (£5.99), my normally rebellious tresses were in much better shape.

It also helps to tame the dreaded frizz which has been a problem for me in the constant wet weather we have been having recently. It leaves your hair feeling silky and soft and will not dent your wallet too much either.

The Dove Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask (£6.99) is great to use once a week. I also used it as a conditioner when the weather was going to guarantee that my hair would transform into a puff ball. It actually helped and though it went a bit messy at the front, it was an improvement on what usually happened.

To complete the range there is the Dove Quench Absolute Supreme Crème Serum (£6.99). Use it on wet or dry hair, this is well formulated and will not leave your hair greasy.

Spotlight on Clarins Super Restorative Hand Cream

Hands can often be a great giveaway when it comes down to holding back the years. So many of us forget to apply sun protection on a daily basis but you really should as it will help to prevent the signs of aging. Also keeping them well moisturised will also improve the appearance of them.

For more mature ladies, the recently-launched Clarins Super Restorative Hand Cream (£37.50) is well worth trying. This cocktail of goodies includes extract of organic harunga “the healing tree” and Montpellier rock-rose extracts which improves the appearance of those dark spots associated with advancing years.

This rich moisturising cream softens hands leaving them feeling lovely and velvety and not at all greasy.

This maybe pricy, but a little goes a long way.
