Recently, it seems the market has exploded with root
cover-ups. They are a great product to have at home so that you can cover
unsightly roots in an instant.
Here are two that I have tried recently.
YoungHair The Root Fix Temporary Colour Touch Up
Concealer Hair Spray in dark brown, £9.95 amazon.co.uk
A good colour, this root touch-up is easy to use, non-sticky, blends well, dries quickly
and did not come off on my pillow or fingers when I touched it. It
is a little transparent so you get a natural look rather than a heavy effect.
However, if you have a lot of grey to cover you may need something slightly
denser.
John Frieda Root Blur Colour Blending Concealer Dark
Espresso to Black, £9.99, Superdrug
Palettes are ideal when you are on-the-go or travelling.
This mirrored-compact contains two natural-looking shades of powder “concealer”
which you can blend together to create the right colour for you. Apply with the
small-angled brush that comes with it. You get good precision when covering
small areas. Good for a short-term fix.
