Where hair is heading this winter

The party season is fast approaching. With a new year around the corner this is often the time that we start to think about changing our hair.

Now your crowning glory should be worn shorter, according to mane man Michael Charalambous of Michael Charalambous at Nyumba.

“We are seeing less layers this winter. Hair is being worn looser, not so contrived,” he adds. “Fringes are out of the question.”

Highlights too have taken a back seat as colour looks more natural. Brunettes are going for more chocolate tones while blondes are more honeyed.

To add some glamour add accessories. They are having a moment. Bows, in particular, will see you through the Christmas period.

Michael says that we will also be seeing wide Alice bands and turbans. “They look good with the longer dresses and skirts that are fashionable right now.”

The one accessory you cannot do without is shine. Glossy tresses always looks chic and will make you look younger.

Hair needs to be in top condition. Make sure you are eating well and using the right products for your hair.

To get more moisture back into your hair Michael recommends Kérastase’s Nutritive range. It is hard to beat.
