Spotlight on WNt London Shampoo and Conditioner for Keratin Treated Hair £10.95 each, wnthair.com

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

If you have just laid out a small fortune for a Brazilian blow dry or any other chemical treatment you will want to ensure that you are washing and conditioning your locks with gentle products.

WNt London has recently launched a premium haircare shampoo and conditioner, which it says, prolongs your treatment. Many sulphate-free shampoos quickly reduce the effectiveness of these intensive procedures, but results, the company says, using  this shampoo and conditioner  treatments lasted about 12 weeks, compared with seven weeks with other competitive brands.

I tried it out on coloured hair and found it was left my hair feeling soft and silky.

Certainly worth trying.

Spotlight on Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, £13, lookfantastic.com

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

This thick, moisturising cream is the brand’s most renowned product. Loaded with fatty acids, plant extracts and vitamins, you only need to apply a small amount.

It has a relatively simple ingredient list which makes it suitable for those with sensitive skin. (Do a patch test first to make sure that it is suitable for you.) It is also great if you have dry patches of skin that need an extra boost.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré has been used backstage at fashion shows and photo shoots due to its versatility. You can use it as a primer and moisturiser as well as a make-up remover and as a mask – especially good after a long-haul flight.

Skin feels soft and looks plumper.

Spotlight on the new Clarins autumn make-up collection

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

There is nothing like a quick swipe of blusher to liven up your complexion and give you a radiant glow.

Clarins has recently launched Joli Blush (£27) which comes in eight shades. My favourite is the Cheeky Purple which is a warm plummy colour, practically identical to my natural flush. The closer the match the more realistic your blusher will look.

I like the fact it has a lovely light texture, is laced with plant oils and it lasts for hours. I prefer powders to creams because there is more colour choice. Today’s formulas are so finely milled that with the right application, you just look healthy, not caked in make-up.

Where you place your blusher can make all the difference to your face. On mature skins, it is better to place it on the upper part of your cheekbones rather than the apples to give a lifted look.

Along with the blushers there are four new Natural Lip Perfectors (£18.50) in intense shades which tone with the blushers. Moisturising and non-sticky, these are perfect for those that like a strong lip.
Clarins make-up keeps getting better and better.
