I am always testing
different products. Here are some that I have recently tested which
are worth trying.
TRESemmé Beauty-FULL Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner (£4.99)
For those of you with fine hair it is tempting to want to
skip conditioner, especially when it is humid, as you may think it will weigh
your locks down.
There has been a lot of talk over the last couple of years
about conditioning your hair first and then shampooing. This “reverse wash
system” is said to give you more volume as you do not leave any residue in your
hair which can weigh it down and leave it looking dull.
I often do this as it saves time waiting for the conditioner
to work while in the shower. TRESemmé Beauty-FULL Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner,
the company says, contains fibre polishing actives that stay on the hair even
after it is washed away so you still get the smoothness that you would normally
get using the traditional method of shampooing and applying conditioner without
the heaviness.
I applied the product, left it for 10 minutes and
then followed with the TRESemmé Beauty-FULL Volume Shampoo. My hair was bouncy
and did not feel weighed
down.
MONTIBELLO Gold Oil Essence: The Amber and Argan Bi-Phase,
£16 (stockists: 01264 334 466)
From this Spanish company comes a great leave-in conditioner which contains amber and argan oils so your hair is hydrated. It also helps combat frizz. After getting caught in the rain, I hopped into the shower, sprayed my hair with this gem and covered it with a plastic hat. When I emerged from the shower, I was pleased to see that my hair was silky smooth. This is one of the best conditioning products I have tried in a long time.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Core Restore Advanced
Protein Volumiser £9.99
Great if you have fine hair as this heat-activated volumiser
with Protein-Strength Complex will help to make your strands appear thicker and
also feel stronger. Can be used on coloured hair.
Those with delicate locks who want that extra oomph should
also try the Luxurious Volume Core Restore Protein-Infused Shampoo (£6.99) and
New Luxurious Volume Core Restore Protein-Infused Clear Conditioner
(£6.99). This is a great conditioner as it does not contain heavy silicones or
fatty alcohols which can weigh fine hair down. Hair is soft and bouncy after
use.
