Rosés for summer

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

One of summer’s great pleasures is enjoying a glass of chilled rosé on a balmy evening. From the palest of pink to deep strawberry-coloured wines there are plenty to choose.

Here are my favourites.

Reuilly Pinot Gris, 2016, Les Chatillons, Denis Jamain, ABV12.5 %, £14.95, bbr.com
From Reuilly, in the Loire Valley, comes this pretty pink-tinged wine. More of a vin gris than a rosé, it is deliciously crisp and crunchy on the palate with fruity tangs of white peaches. This zesty wine is light and refreshing but has enough richness to make it interesting. Goes down a treat on its own or with food.

M De Minuty Rosé 2017, Château Minuty, ABV 13% £14, (£11.49 Save 18% when you buy 6+) robersonwine.com
Château Minuty, on the St Tropez Peninsula, is one of Provence's best wineries. This classic pale rosé comes in a beautifully designed bottle by artist Ashley Mary. It oozes strawberry and raspberry flavours with a refreshing acidity, yet it is lovely and smooth in the mouth. An extremely popular rosé that is a wonderful summer drink.

Whispering Angel Rosé 2017, Château d'Esclans, ABV 13%, £20, (£16.99 Save 15% when you buy 6+) robersonwine.com
A mesmerising elixir that enlivens the palate with the taste of summer fruits. Delicate but with enough depth and complexity to give it plenty of character, this fashionable wine is very quaffable.
