Spring is in the air. Well, at least at the Clarins counter it is. After the holidays and with brighter days on the horizon, a lighter easier make-up feels right.
I like the new limited edition Ready In A Flash Eye Palette (£32). Clarins has made it easy to brighten up and define the eye area in just three steps. The palette comprises two eyebrow powders, two iridescent eyeshadows which also look good as highlighters and two matte eyeshadows in wearable shades of brown. They are also great as eyeliners.
This is a good palette for those on the go. It is light,
ideal for keeping in your bag so you can touch up whenever needed.
The Instant Poreless (£24) is a great matifying primer. This gel-cream comes in one colour which, the company says, adapts to all skin tones. It worked for me but you can try it at the counter before you make a purchase to ensure it suits you.
I like the fact that it is a gel-cream so it is easy to apply. Once on the skin it transforms into a powder. Pores are less noticeable. Result: a glowing complexion that lasted for hours despite rushing around all day. Apparently, this is due to the organic strawberry tree fruit extracts in the product that help keep the dreaded shine at bay.
The Glow 2 Go Duo Stick, Harmony 1 (£26) is just the tool to give you a healthy flush. It consists of a pretty pink blusher and a highlighter which you can use to add a glow to your cheekbones. The Harmony 2, consisting of a golden highlighter and a golden peach blush, is great for those that like a warmer-toned cheek colour.
To keep your lips moist, try Clarins Hydra-Essentiel
Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm (£19.50). This is one of my beauty essentials as
it not only hydrates but it also plumps up the lips giving them a lovely rosy
glow. Use on its own or under lipstick.
