Spotlight on Clarins Nutri-Lumière Day Cream, £90

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

As skin gets older, it can lose that radiant glow. For those over 60 Clarins has introduced its new Nutri-Lumière range. It would make a great gift for Mother’s Day or for a grandma.

Containing organic horse chestnut flower extract and horse chestnut escin, plus Clarins Anti-Pollution Complex, this day cream is extremely nourishing helping to re-energise the complexion leaving it looking lifted and refreshed.

For the younger ones amongst you I would recommend Clarins Super Restorative Rose Radiance Cream (£74). This is probably my favourite moisturiser as it makes your skin look plumper and makes you look super healthy.

Waves of spring

This is not a paid post.

Hair guru, Michael Charalambous says we should be thinking of wearing our hair just touching the shoulder this spring. “Perfect for the “S” wave which we are seeing so much of at the moment,” he adds.

To get the look he suggests you let your hair dry naturally, then add some bend with tongs or heated rollers.

If you have fine hair he cautions against using these appliances as they can damage the hair. Instead you could try pin curling your tresses.

A classic chin-length bob will make fine hair appear thicker. Again you can wear it straight or add curl by flipping the ends out or under using a round brush.

Finish off your look with hair accessories. A head band not only looks good it can turn a bad hair day into a good one. Michael thinks Gucci and Alexandre de Paris are the go-to brands for something special.

As for colour, he says he is feeling auburn-brown.
