If you like fragrances that are unique and special then here are two that you should take a look at.

Carthusia Terra Mia Eau de Parfum, £80, Liberty London
A stunning melange of bergamot and rose with tangs of coffee and hazelnut with a hint of musk. This fragrance from a well-respected Italian brand is perfect for men and women.

Abel Green Cedar, £98, Fenwick of Bond Street
Billed as a modern, chic natural perfume, this is a heady combo of cedars from Texas and the wild forests of Morocco's Atlas Mountains. This is one that stands out from the crowd. Perfect for this time of year.

Spotlight on Shea Moisture 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil range

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

The Shea Moisture 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil range smells great and it helps manage unruly hair in the heat.

I first tried the Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo (£10.99, Superdrug). Sulphate-free, this left my hair feeling well-moisturised. For an extra hydration boost, I used the matching Daily Hydrating conditioner (£10.99).

A favourite is the Leave-In Treatment (£10.99) as it helps protect against heat and frizz. It makes hair soft and silky as well leaving it subtly scented all day.

A great range for summer.

Spotlight on Clarins Joli Rouge

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

I have to admit that I am not normally a lipstick fan. A slick of lip balm and I am good to go. However, there are times when I want to look more polished or when I feel washed out. That is when I need a touch of lipstick to brighten up my face.

Clarins Joli Rouge Brillant in Soft Berry

As I have a lot of natural pigment in my lips, it is difficult to find the right shade. I was delighted to discover Clarins Joli Rouge Brillant in Soft Berry (£22), a soft pink, which plumps up the lips making them appear fuller and also gives a lovely shine without looking overly made-up. It is sheer so it works with your natural hue. The texture is lovely and moist which is great as I tend to have extremely dry lips.

Clarins Joli Rouge  in Soft Berry

When I feel that I need an extra pop of colour I simply change the finish. Clarins has three now.
For a more intense look, I go for the Joli Rouge (£22). A rich and creamy formula that leaves my lips coated in colour but with a subtle satin sheen.

Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet in Soft Berry

The Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet in Soft Berry (£22) is the new creamy matte version. It is non-drying as it contains apricot oil. It lasts for hours without any discomfort. I don’t even know there is anything on my lips which is good. I normally cannot tolerate this type of product as they leave my mouth feeling parched. It is perfect for when you are out in the evening. I’ll be stocking up for the party season.

There are 20 shades available in each of the three formulations so you should find at least a couple you like. And, as I am learning, a girl can never have too many lipsticks.
