A dose of sunshine is good for us but like anything else too much can be harmful. It is not just our skin that can be damaged by UV but our hair as well.
Over exposure to the sun can cause colour to fade, dry the
ends and may irritate your scalp. Chlorine from swimming pools can also harm your tresses. So can the salt from the sea. Humidity
can cause frizz.
One of the best product ranges on the market to deal with
the effects of summer on our hair is the Kérastase Soleil Collection.

oil and ceramides, the Kérastase Soleil collection helps shield your locks from
the harmful effects of the sun and make it easier to manage.

hair a good cleanse and gets rid of any salt and sand you may have accumulated
during the day.
Soleil Masque UV Défense Active (£31.70) gives a welcome boost
to hair that is crying out for some nourishment. I often put this on during the
day under a hat and wash it out in the evening when I feel that my hair needs
more substance.
If you are not
wearing a sunhat, you need to protect your crowning glory. Soleil
Micro-Voile Protecteur (£22.90) is great for this and it will not weigh your
hair down.
This leave-in spray will help protect from fading as well as
keeping frizz at bay. It can be used on wet or dry hair so you can top up
throughout the day.
One of my hero products is the leave-in Soleil Cc Crème
(£22.90) which smooths and gives shine to the hair. I like to use this before
styling.
These are good products that will keep your hair in good
condition over the summer.
