Unless you have been on Mars, you can’t have missed the buzz
about the newest generation of BB creams (blemish balm or beauty balm) CC
creams. Complexion corrector or Colour Control (what it stands for is debatable)
are meant to even out skin tone as well as moisturise and cover and protect
against UV rays. In short, they give better coverage than BB creams.
Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream with SPF 30 (£28) comes in
six shades. This lightweight potion corrects skin imperfections and gives skin
a health looking glow.
L’OrĂ©al Paris recently brought out Nude Magique CC Cream (£9.99), a range of three colour beautifiers which have the same benefits as a BB cream but also correct tone. You have a choice of Anti-Fatigue, Anti-Redness or Anti-Dullness, which work with your skin tone, so they look as if you are not wearing make-up.
These products are
great if you want a natural, low key look and don’t like using a lot of
products. Remember, even if BB and CC creams state that they contain sun
protection, you may not put these on as thickly as you would sunscreen, so you
may need to use one as well, especially if you are going to be spending time
out soaking up those rays.
