It does not matter what the time of the year is, unsightly
spider veins, scars and stretchmarks do nothing to enhance your appearance.
When I was asked to try Remescar Spider Veins (£29.95,
Boots), from the range of medicated skin care products, developed by scientists
in Belgium to reduce the appearance of them, I had to admit I was sceptical.
I got a couple of spider veins years ago going through the
Panama Canal on a cruise ship. Going from hot to the cold of the ship probably
did not help either. I learnt to live with these small purple veins which most
people do not notice but I do.
Three months later, I am converted to this product as it has
helped to make them look less red and not as visible. Remescar Spider Veins
claims to helps repair weak vein tissues and to discourage the formation of new
blood vessels.
It works by covering the mark in a fine film of silicone
protecting the top layer of the skin by locking in moisture and aiding the
stimulation of collagen production forming a barrier to help skin recover.
The treatment also contains UVA and UVB protection to
protect against sun damage as well as beta glucan which has found to have a
protective and hydrating effect
on wounds and PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone), also a film forming agent.
If you have scars or spider veins which you are conscious
of, Remescar Spider Veins could help you.
