The golden case wrapped in green leather with the YSL logo
is so beautiful that it seems a shame to touch the five shimmery
richly-pigmented eye shadows inside.
If you like to make a statement with your eye make-up these
colours will certainly make you stand out in a crowd. This is very Yves Saint
Laurent from the 1970s albeit with a contemporary twist.
Burgundy and olive green might not be a combination that you
would automatically pair together however, the beauty of this palette is that
you can experiment, blend shades together and make them work. There is also a
lovely pinky-taupe in the collection that looks great as a highlighter with
these hues or you can wear it on its own.
According to YSL it is time to inject some fun into make-up.
For the adventurous, this season may be time to forget the rule of either a
strong lip or eye and do both.
